Hitler removed the Jews from all positions of business and power and put them into labor camps. In reality, they were used to produce goods for the war effort. The Red Cross published the total number of deaths related to the camps at the end of the war, before the holocaust was fabricated and it was somewhere between 270 and 300 thousand. The vast majority of dead were victims of the Typhus epidemics at the end of the war. People were very close to each other and sanitation was very poor at the end of the war due to Germany losing the war. There were even some cases when the Allies attacked trains full of Jew prisoners knowing they would be used to produce goods for the German war effort. The official story of the holocaust was revised several times before agreeing to the number of six million.
