They are real and they are generally the Pagan Gods like every other Gentile culture. They also have a lot of depth and knowledge in Shinto.

They are real and they are also allegories.
Izanagi and Izanami are father Satan and Lilith.
Amaterasu in allegory is the pingala channel, while Tsukuyomi is the ida channel. Susanoo represents the kundalini.
Susanoo has been recently revealed by HP Hooded Cobra to be Azazel.
